This proposal is a supplement to my proposal to reorganize :Category:Music, since this really has no reason to be bundled in with that. | This proposal is a supplement to my proposal to reorganize :Category:Music, since this really has no reason to be bundled in with that. | ||

@PaperSplash: I get the concern, but Wikipedia does call this kind of function "Sound test" still, regardless of the title being a bit obsolete nowadays, so I get where Ahemtoday is coming from.<br>That said, though, I think Category:In-game jukeboxes could work as an alternate title. It's clearer than both the current title and the proposed rename, given that most sound tests nowadays work similar to jukeboxes anyway (in both cases, someone selects a song number from a menu, and the device will play that song for them), while also making clear that this isn't about separate songs found in video games.<br>This idea also comes with the fact that the similarly titled Juke Box and Jukebox should have an identifier if we settle with the "In-game jukeboxes" name. I'm kind of surprised that they still don't have one. 15:53, August 2, 2023 (EDT) | @PaperSplash: I get the concern, but Wikipedia does call this kind of function "Sound test" still, regardless of the title being a bit obsolete nowadays, so I get where Ahemtoday is coming from.<br>That said, though, I think Category:In-game jukeboxes could work as an alternate title. :I also think "In-game jukeboxes" is a more clear name than "Sound tests", but it's a bit too late to change the name for this proposal. "Sound tests" is definitely more clear than "In-game music", though. 16:19, August 3, 2023 (EDT) | :I also think "In-game jukeboxes" is a more clear name than "Sound tests", but it's a bit too late to change the name for this proposal.
