Butch Mario and the Luigi Kid is the second VHS release of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, and the first one to be released in retail. It was released by Kids Klassics in September 1989. The VHS is 30 minutes long, and it contains the animated segment "Butch Mario and the Luigi Kid" alongside two live-action segments, "All Steamed Up" and "Magic's Magic."

The front cover showcases Mario, Luigi, and Toad riding on ostriches while looking at a Wanted poster on a cactus with Mario's and Luigi's faces on it. The artwork uses Toad's standard design, although in the actual episode his cap colors are swapped.
