A '''Blue Banana''' is an item used in the [[Donkey Kong  (series)|''Donkey Kong'' series]].

The Blue Banana first appears in ''[[Donkey Kong 64]]''. Here, there are two varieties. One is [[Lanky Kong]]'s equivalent of an ordinary [[banana]]. The second variety is found only in multiplayer battle mode. When a [[Kong]] collects the banana, all the other players are encased in a thick, blue, gelatinous goop. This gives the player who used the Blue Banana an advantage until the others break free.

The Blue Banana is set to appear as an item in ''[[Donkey Kong Barrel Blast]]''. Its effects are unknown, although screen shots have shown it turning the user a dark blue color. The advantage of being this color is still unknown as it is never used.
