A '''Bat''' is a minor type of ghost found in ''[[Luigi's Mansion]]''. They came in two colors, purple and gold, and often appeared in large groups. Purple bats would hang from the ceiling, and when [[Luigi]] walked by, the mob of Bat spirits would swoop down to attack the green-clad hero. If one managed to hit Luigi, the plumber would be slightly damaged (five [[HP]]) and the ghost would disappear in a puff of smoke. If the strike was unsuccessful, the Bat would return to the ceiling and prepare for the next attack. Gold Bats also hang on the ceiling, but would only attack if the player pressed the "R" button while they're hanging on the ceiling in the same room as Luigi. In all other respects, they were exactly the same as Purple Bats. These ghostly Bats could be easily sucked up with the Poltergust 3000 or immediately destroyed with elemental powers. | |||
