A '''Bat''' is a minor type of ghost enemy found in ''[[Luigi's Mansion]]''. They come in two colors, purple and gold, and often appear in large groups. Purple bats hang from the ceiling, and when [[Luigi]] walks by, it swoops down to attack him. If one hits Luigi, Luigi will be slightly damaged by five [[Heart Point|HP]] and the ghost would disappear in a puff of smoke. If the strike is unsuccessful, the Bat would return to the ceiling and prepare for the next attack. Gold Bats also hang on the ceiling, but only attack if the player presses the "R" button while they're hanging on the ceiling in the same room as Luigi. In all other respects, they are exactly the same as Purple Bats. Bats can be easily sucked up with the [[Poltergust 3000]] or immediately destroyed with elemental powers. | |||
