She is the arrogant owner of the music shop of Waruwaru Town, GB Music, and helps the player throughout the game. She appears as an [[Assist Trophy]] in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]''. When she appears, Barbara strums her guitar for a few seconds, releasing sound waves that moderately damages opponents and knocks them back. Her last sound wave is larger and stronger than the other ones.

Barbara later [[Costume_Mario#126|appears]] in ''[[Super Mario Maker]]'' as an add-on [[Mystery Mushroom]] costume for [[Costume Mario]]. It can be unlocked by clearing the "[[Barbara in Tomatoland]]" [[List of officially released courses in Super Mario Maker|Event Course]], which was released on February 25, 2016.
